Journey Description

This journey offers the chance to see outstanding natural beauty in absolute comfort. You may also choose to follow the interactive food trail that allows visitors to discover the region’s best produce, markets, restaurants, cooking schools and events, with over 400 outlets and produces. Whilst you will be required to have a vehicle to complete the Naturally Luxurious Great Beach Drive, no 4WD self-driving will be required on this itinerary.

Day By Day Itinerary

Day 1 - Kondalilla Falls National Park

Arrive into Sunshine Coast airport, and be met by your private car and driver for your transfer to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, taking time to stop at Kondalilla Falls National Park.

The falls (named after an Aboriginal word meaning ‘running water’) drop 90 metres through dense subtropical rainforest – an area that is home to 100 different species of birds.

Visit the charming towns of Montville and Maleny for stunning views, rainforest walks and fresh local produce. Enjoy lunch at one of the region’s stunning vineyards, while tasting some of South East Queensland’s finest wines.

Next stop prior to your check in are the Maleny Botanic Gardens, situated on 110 acres, surrounded by magnificent rainforest with spectacular views of the Glass House Mountains.

Check into your luxury accommodation in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, where there is an abundance of leading and award winning luxury accommodation providers.

Day 2 - Personalised 4WD tour to Rainbow Beach

Enjoy your leisurely breakfast, check out and be met by your limo and driver for the drive north to Noosa and the start of your 4WD personalised touring for your trip to Rainbow Beach.

Cross the Noosa River on the vehicle ferry at Tewantin and disembark at Noosa North Shore.

This tour will take you past the coloured sands at Teewah and then continue onto Double Island Point, where you will be driven up the steep access to the lighthouse (Surf and Sand Safaris are the only operators with this access) to look for humpback whales migrating up the Queensland coastline to Hervey Bay from during July – November.

From Double Island Point, the tour continues into Rainbow Beach, nestled between Fraser Island (K’Gari), Cooloola National Park and the expansive Pacific Ocean.

Check into your accommodation in Rainbow Beach for the evening, overlooking coloured sands and Fraser Island (K’Gari).

Day 3 - Fraser Island (K'Gari)

Wake up to the sounds of the local birdlife before being picked up in style by one of the region’s personalised Fraser Island (K’Gari) day tour operators.

Whilst exploring Fraser Island (K’Gari), your tour guide will provide you with expert commentary throughout the day, and will look after your every need whilst on tour. You will also receive a delicious morning and afternoon tea, and lunch.

After exploring some of the best of Fraser Island’s (K’Gari’s) natural attractions, including Central Station rainforest, Lake McKenzie, the famous 75 Mile Beach, Eli Creek, the Coloured Sands and the Maheno Shipwreck, you will be transferred to your Hervey Bay.

Stay at one of the many luxurious resorts, apartments and bed and breakfasts that are available in Hervey Bay.

Day 4 - Hervey Bay

Start the day with a relaxing breakfast and coffee at one of Hervey Bay’s beachside cafés, providing the perfect location for a barista made coffee to start your day.

From here, you can experience the Hervey Bay foreshore at your leisure. You can enjoy some stand-up​ paddle boarding in the calm waters of Hervey Bay, or you can go fishing, kayaking or on a jetski tour of Fraser Island (K’Gari)!

After some leisure time, catch your limousine transfer to Hervey Bay Airport to catch the flight for the next leg of your journey, and to complete your Naturally Luxurious Great Beach Drive experience.
